The main idealogy is to design the sofa unit on a formal note and give it a in-formal look and maintain the balance in between, there by named as the “Not so Formal Sofa (NSF Sofa)”. Its neither formal nor informal.FABRIC
So, How did we do it?
1.Color play
We played with the fabric colors. The Navy Blue fabric on the sofa seats lay on the formal side whereas the Red Clay cushion fabric and Ochre yellow bolsters lay on the informal side.
2. Shapes
To break the proper defined rectangular shape of the sofa and coffee table. we brought the circular bolster cushion into play. Rectangle and Circle falls on formal and informal respectively.

a “Simple and Elegant” study table for their kids was the requirement put forth by our client. The design process started with understanding the existing space and decoding the patterns used in the kids room. The decoded pattern then subtly implemented in the table and brass was put into play to bring the element of luxury and elegance.

We reimagined the traditional chessboard by incorporating the MORA design language, which emphasizes the use of solid geometric shapes. In this reinterpretation, the classic checkered board is transformed with hollow squares, creating MORA’s signature grid design. This not only offers a fresh visual twist but also serves a functional purpose, securely holding the chess pieces in place.

The requirement was kept simple by the client, they wanted a table and cabinet in retro style with few design touches from MORA.
Since our client being a blogger under the name of ” Made in Chennai ” we wanted the furniture to communicate the tones of Chennai. Firstly we designed the furniture in the retro style as required and brought in the idea of hand paintings to the cabinet shutter and the table drawers representing Chennai with the elements which is not usually used to represent the city and that can act as a metonym. So we designed a street scape with elements of Chennai that every Chennaite could connect with.

The furniture series is named after a simple idealogy of “No glue, No screw”, we wanted to keep the furntiure light, simple and ready to assemble.
So how do we do it ? Instead of glues or screws, we design pieces in a way that you plug-in each pieces as we mention in our product catalogue and you will end up with a furniture which is ready to use
We design the furntiture template and with CNC cutting technology we get the designed pieces cut precisely and smoothly, the leftover stencil is used for packaging and portablity, thus reducing the wastage, storage space and the packaking costs.

The requirement from the client was to design a day bed in the same language as of S&E table (check older posts) but with the introduction of rattan cane, since they wanted to have a cane furniture from a long time.
So, we started the rough draft of the design with skeleton shape derived from the S&E table. The minimum support required for backrest and the armrest is designed and we ended up with the final skeleton shape with the leftover space where we can use the rattan cane, in the whole design process main consideration was given to the functionality and stability of the day bed.
SINGLE VICTORIA PAT
Later we introduced the brass inlay used in the same pattern as used in S&E table in the back rest. We decided to use Single Victoria webbing pattern to match with the Brass inlay pattern.

The main idealogy is to create a balance between the fabric sofa and wooden sofa and blend it in a minimal and functional way possible.
We wanted to use the whole 140″ wall and create not just a sofa but a sofa with sidetables so that it works as an alternate to a centre table, which wont be ideal considering the space constrain.
The diamond tufting, the corner chamfers and the legs were designed accordingly to follow the same language and pattern.

We designed this plug-in stall for a children’s clothing brand in Chennai, aiming to reflect their unique brand identity. Since it’s a kids’ brand, we incorporated vibrant, popping colors to accentuate the grid intersections, creating an engaging and lively space. This stall is part of our signature “Plugin Furniture” series, which follows the concept of “No glue, no screws—just plug in.”

The client requested a TV unit that would elevate the overall living room design, so we created a piece that adheres to the design principle of balance. By distributing equal visual weight on either side, we achieved a proportionate and harmonious look. This TV unit, though simple, is meticulously planned with horizontal and vertical lines that perfectly reflect the concept of balance.
